Lego Night!
The classroom will be decorated in "Lego Land" theme! Students will each get to take home their own little baggy of Lego's! Included in the multiple Lego centers, students and their families will figure our area, construct building, solve math problems, and many more math based activities! |
Sport's Night
During this family night, students and their families will have to go through multiple math based centers! Each center is focused around a different sport. At the baseball center, students will determine the range, mode, and mean of baseball game scores! At the football center, students will answer math problems in order to move their player forward to reach the end zone! In the basketball center, students will throw inflated basketballs to each other and answer the math equation their hand lands on! |
Carnival Night
During "Carnival Night", students and their families will go through multiple different centers. The first center will be focused around figuring out multiple different equations to solve the number in the popcorn pieces! The next center will involve throwing foam baseballs into plastic milk jugs! The students will have to solve multiple and division problems in order to be able to throw their baseballs! Carnival themed snacks will be provided throughout the night for students and their families! |
Forest Theme
During this family night, students and their families must complete multiple centers in order to pass through the mystical forest! In the forest, students will complete different math focused centers. The first center will have students building trees, by placing leaves in correct numerical order. The students must figure out the math problem first to determine the number of the leaf. The next center has families drawing all of the creatures in the forest that have different leg amounts. Students must group animals together by the amount of legs they have! The third center has families writing their own math story centered around the forest theme (example- The Three Little Pigs) |
